UNCOMFORTABLE PRAYER BURDEN (2)

There are 3 sources of mental oppression, which is actually mental heaviness.

1. Natural

when we are beset with pressing problems that is too much to bear eg those who is at the verge of business collapse or divorce may carried the problem in their heart and thinking deeply about it. This will breed mental oppression. It can be for a short season, as  one come to accept reality, compose oneself, the mental oppression subside.

2. Demonic

There is a kind of mental oppression where the  root cause is the operation of  demon. One can have this mental oppression so long a time, that one thinks it is normal,as  it is so woven into one personal habit. But somehow one feel it is not right, it is alien, it is not from God and this will prompt the desire to pray for deliverance. One will feel the desire to use the name of Jesus to expel it. As one does so, one will feel relieve.

3. Prayer burden

There is possiblity the Lord is giving us a prayer burden. We feel weighted, we feel something is not right. Then it is better for us to quiet ourselves to spend time in prayer.

What is prayer? whenever we spend time in His presence, we are praying. That's why we can pray without ceasing (1 Thess. 5:17) We can devote time focus upon God, in His presence.

Sometimes our intellect is not adequate, we can resort to  pray in tongues, because Bible says those who pray in tongues speak mystery by the Spirit. What a blessing! What an enablement !We can pray beyond ourselves as we are empowered by the Spirit.

Another types of prayer in the Spirit  is groaning Rom 8:26 As we groan, the Spirit intercede through us. It is different from speaking in tongue: tongue is a spiritual language but groaning is strictly for intercession and pleading in the Spirit. Tongue is a spiritual language that can be used in intercession but it has other function because it is a language. We also may speak tongues of angels , it is not us, but Spirit speaking through us where angels can get the message. Again it shows tongue is a spiritual language. Groaning is intercession of Holy Spirit.

There are different level of intercession

1. using our words to plead, to intercede
2. using tongue to plead , to intercede
3. using groaning to plead , to intercede

All depends on the level of burden one received. If the burden is great, one may feel need to be silence, or to groan with mono-syllable sound.

Quoting from Interceder Article no 20
It is true that saints are sometimes so opposed and troubled, especially under persecution, that they cannot find language suited to their emotions, where words fail them, even praying in the Spirit. The deep thoughts and feelings in their hearts can find expression only in sighs and groans and tears

Quoting from a prophecy

Do not mistake your burdens for depression. There are times when you must come in and you will be weighted down by the things that you carry, but you will come in that you may be lifted up, saith the Lord. Do not stop coming because you are burdened. Come to the House of God and deliver your burden, saith the Lord.  I will give you the Samuels that are to come in the future. I will give you the deliverance for the nations. Do not be afraid of your burden

UNCOMFORTABLE PRAYER BURDEN

file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/user/My%20Documents/THE%20CHURCH%20IN%20TRAVAIL.htm

I found this web article by Pastor Alma Perry interesting. She is a prophetic intercessor and her experience is enlightening.

she said there was a time she felt sudden sadness and sorrow, uninvited coming out of nowhere. she  paused to check herself to find the source of problem, it took her sometime to understand that  it was for her husband's condition. she took time to pray through until the sorrow lifted.

PRAYER BURDEN may come without any antecedent or explanation.John 3:8 we need to accept the working of Holy Spirit without full understanding and act on it by faith, as we grow our capacity to understand will increase. we won't grow if we reject the working of Holy Spirit from the onset. humanly speaking it is not possible to be sorrow, anxious when there is no antecedent.

so sorrow is an INDICATOR  of Holy Spirit for us to pray. It is the work of Holy Spirit not devil's. it has a purpose and design. it point us to do something about it. Some people always feel the need to pray and this may well be the work of Holy Spirit. He is getting SPIRITUAL INDICATORS  inside of him . This STRONG INDICATORS  is commonly referred as PRAYER BURDEN.

Jesus groaned before raising Lazarus from the dead. He was in state of duress before the miracle happened. Jesus was in sorrow and distress before the cross. the state of sorrow enable Him to cry with loud crying and He was heard because of His piety. Hebrew 5:7 the spirit of sorrow is the work of Holy Spirit driving Him to pray through for Father's grace. Though He was son of God, yet He emptied Himself and He like us need the grace of Heavenly Father.

I use the word driving rather than the word leading. God sometimes lead us, sometimes drive us. Leading and driving happen inside of us, its's never physical.  leading  is more gentle, more or less a suggestion,  driving is more forceful, compelling and required action. The later is for those who surrender themselves to God, allowing God to push into greater height. Don't misunderstand me, God respect our freewill , He will push us to what we are willing to take.

Take note : in the article she use the words AGONY, OPPRESSION , TRAVAIL  to describe her PRAYER BURDEN. This is pretty hefty words. It is nothing when watching others go through TRAVAIL or AGONY , it is unbearable if one go through it oneself. if it is relaxing , it is not AGONY. Agony imply inner pain. this inner pain has no natural causation, then it is PRAYER BURDEN  of Holy Spirit  for you to pray. Sometimes OPPRESSION  is BURDEN TO PRAY. Oppression mean mental  heaviness  due to a concern .So if you had experience this kind of PRAYER BURDEN, it is equivalent to being DRIVEN BY THE SPIRIT to pray. I am sure Alma was in such a burden and drivenness  to pray until the miracle took place. so being driven by the Spirit is good. But people don't understand will think that person is insane.2 Cor 5:13. For 12 years Evan Roberts prayed for revival, he was absorbed that while walking on road, he would stopped and lost himself in prayer in the middle of the road so much so people thought something was wrong with him. This is a case DRIVEN BY THE SPIRIT.

so if there is anytime where you feel sorrow, sadness or a sense of danger, threat ,  urgency without any physical correlate , spend quality time to pray through until you feel no need to pray anymore, you are relief of the prayer burden. If it take long time to discharge the PRAYER BURDEN  God may have chosen you to pray for greater things in God's heart.

Remember even  if we don't understand what is the matter, as long as it is from God, your prayer will work. it is good to pray in the Spirit, in tongue or groaning for long hours.  speak any words that came to your spirit. one day i feel inspired to say ` O God you have done amazing thing' and i didn't know detail but i just feel God doing something, it is good enough for me.

Our prayer is like spiritual firepower bubble out from our heart  and the Spirit Himself know where to direct.

pray it , say it .Amen

CATCHING UP OF THE MALE CHILD PROPHETIC EVENT

Wade Taylor teaching was the voice of the Holy Spirit to the church.

Rev 12: 1 - 10

The male-child is not Jesus Christ though he was caught up to the heavens and rule the nations with the rod of iron. Revelation is a prophetic book, it speaks about future event, not past event.

so there will come a times the body of Christ will be caught up into the heavenly realms and power and authority is given for them to reign over the nations. this power is prayer power. the body of Christ shall move in prophetic power where whatever the people of God speak will consequently affects events of the nation. this can happen after the dragon was defeated in the war in heaven. a great harvest of souls will happen at this point of time prior to Christ's millenial rule. Rev 14: 14-20

LIFE IS NOT BED OF ROSES

I had just read a book on adversity. this is least discussed and published topic. Everyone want to hear and talk about success, prosperity and nobody likes to talk about adversity in life. yet adversity do happen in the course of our life . Our response to it determine whether we are winner or not.

Modern  believers like to talk about faith and the power of faith to do miracles. That is nothing wrong. We want to put a balance. This gave a picture of trouble free life on this side of heaven. This is not full picture. Yes,  God do perform miracles for us, not just to please us, to make us feel good all the time   but His intention is to train our  faith  and character to grow so  He might accomplish greater things through our lives. There are many lives He want to touch through us.  That require faith. Yet for faith to grow, we may be subjected to adversity and our faith will be stretched to face the challenge. This is an avenue of growth rather than disintegration.

Many a times God  seems to overlook our prayers and that has caused us suffering. God is watching, He is not merciless but He is giving to us an opportunity for us to grow  our  faith.we can relate the time we may have pressing needs for God to help us, we need an answer but the answer did not come, it was delayed beyond the time . so we are suffering of wants. Here our  faith are being tested. Do we still trust Him? if we maintain our faith irrespective of odds, then our faith grow.  The end of it we get God's blessing. And God get fruit out of our life, spiritual growth. DUAL FULFILLMENT

i am quite sure Hannah prayed with ernestness to bear a child  many years before 1 samuel 1:10. year and year passed by , she was yet to get an offspring. She was in great desperation and she wept bitterly. she came to a point she couldn't bear it anymore. there was cries of desperation that  the LORD WILL NOT DESPISE. And she made a vow of dedication to the Lord. And she got her miracle. all the years of prayer had inculcated faith in her for the miracle.

She had faith for the miracle ? are you kidding ! she didn't appear full of faith  at all, in our appraisal. But the fact she keep coming to God for an answer shows her faith. She is like the woman who kept coming to the unjust judge for justice.

God sees differently from us. Hannah just wanted a baby to caress, to enjoy
and to prove her prowess and silence her rival. but God wants a prophet that intervene in the history of Israel. The Lord has to wait until Hannah prayed the prayer of dedication  She surrendered all, she gave permission to the Lord to use her son anyway He wanted. A
nd that became the key to her miracle. God got His prophet, Hannah got her child, DUAL FULFILLMENT

Abraham was interested to have a son to inherit his property , that was his reason of asking for a son. But God wanted a nation of Israel to be birthed from his womb. did Abraham care or understand this grand design?  He had no bible to refer as we do. as human, he saw his immediate need . but God had to wait for Abraham until he came into total faith then He gave him a miraculous birth. That son Isaac not only inherited Abraham's belongings but also Abraham's covenant with God to establish a nation of worshipers.

Abraham got a son, God got a nation. DUAL FULFILLMENT

if we face adversity and the Lord seems not doing anything for about it, rest assured that God has greater purpose than your perceived need. He has not forgotten us. May be we are a case of DUAL FULFILLMENT
